Why the GSIAA Exists

The Gulf States Independent Athletic Association exists to empower member schools through equal, transparent governance, delivering modern athletic administration, shared financial growth, and fair competition for every student-athlete.

The Gulf States Independent Athletic Association (GSIAA) is a member-governed, non-profit 501(c)(3) high school athletic association formed to provide a modern, transparent alternative for secondary school sports administration. Open to accredited public, private, charter, independent, and affiliate programs across state lines, the association operates independently of state government oversight to ensure equitable governance where every full member school retains a single, equal vote on organizational policy, classification rules, and financial distributions. Grounded in standard enrollment-based competitive divisions without performance multipliers, the GSIAA combines streamlined administrative technology—such as centralized compliance software, digital ticketing, and AI game-filming systems—with an innovative corporate revenue model. Under this model, the association aggregates ticket sales, media rights, and major corporate partnerships, redistributing 100% of all surplus funds back to its member schools through an equal and enrollment-based formula.

“The purpose was to try to help the schools… For them to have a meaningful say in how their athletics are run. I could see what was happening and knew now was the time to step up and help.”
